Shelby County Shooting Sports Association!
The Shelby County Shooting Sports Association was established in 2003 to teach gun safety and marksmanship skills and to promote the shooting sports in Alabama. We began by teaching the Boy Scouts of America Rifle Merit Badge and a 4H Rifle program. We the following programs:
NRA Training Courses for youths and adults.
4H Rifle & Shotgun programs.
BSA Merit Badge and Venture Shooting Sports Elective Programs.Competitive youth rifle & pistol teams for ages 8-20.
Air rifle and pistol matches for youths and adults.

Our team consists of shooters from 8 to 20 years old. We offer NRA Basic Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun courses for youth and adults. We shoot a wide array of competitions including: B.B., Sporter and Presicion Air Rifle, 3-P Smallbore, and Service Rifle Highpower. Some of our members also shoot trap and skeet.
